After nagging a bit about my flight with United, I have to write about my flight from LAX to FRA with Lufthansa. They really made the difference. As written previously I appreciate the welcoming atmosphere on their flights and the quality of service. However, this time they even went a bit further. (more…)

Hurricane Sandy
Hoping to escape the arrival of the big storm here in Washington DC, I booked an earlier flight for Monday morning. As it seems it was not early enough. All major airlines started to cancel flights beginning from Sunday afternoon, at least throughout Monday. Currently it is expected to ease off again on Tuesday. Major flooding and power out are expected. I don’t like it at all! (more…)

Round the World Ticket
When I started inquiring about my flight tickets in September last year I had several options to choose from. The first recommendation from the travel agency I contacted to get detailed information was to book the flights individually. If it is properly done it could save you a little bit of money and is rather flexible in the selections of the locations. However, their proposal to fly from Osaka to Honolulu via Auckland scared me off. (more…)

Limitations in my head
How often do we use the words “I have to” as a reason to do something, we don’t really want to do? For so many tasks in our life we accept that there is no other way of doing it, let alone the possibility of not doing it at all. They seem to be just given. Looking at myself it astonishes me where I set my own limitations and why I often believe in them so strong, that I’m not able to overcome them, even with little things. (more…)
